WESTMONT AND BEST HOTEL PROPERTIES SELL INTERCONTINENTAL PRAGUE TO R2G

Czech investment group R2G has acquired the InterContinental Hotel Prague from Slovakia-based Best Hotel Properties and Westmont Hospitality, for a reported price of around €193 million (€519,000 per room). The 372-room property, overlooking the Vltava River, was built between 1968 and 1974 and underwent a complete renovation of its façade in the 1990s and refurbishment of its interior in 2002. R2G was co-founded by Czech billionaire OldÅ™ich Šlemr and the owners of the Avast software company.
