ASHKENAZY SELLS LONDON’S GROSVENOR HOUSE TO KATARA HOSPITALITY

Katara Hospitality, a subsidiary of the Qatar Investment Authority, has acquired the iconic Grosvenor House, a JW Marriott Hotel on Park Lane in London from Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp for an unreported price, only 16 months after the US-based real estate investment firm bought the property for a reported £550 million. The 496-room hotel joins a number of ultra-luxury hotels Katara already owns in the UK’s capital, including Claridge’s, the Berkeley and the Connaught. Marriott confirmed continuation of the current operation and lease contract until 2052.
